Senior Manufacturing And Production Manager |

As the Senior Manufacturing And Production Manager at JTS, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising our production operations across the APAC region, with a specific focus on the petrochemical, chemical, and manufacturing sectors. Reporting to the COO, you will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, compliance with industry standards, and leading initiatives that enhance our production efficiency and sustainability efforts. |

Key objectives |
|
- Develop strategies to enhance chemical production efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Use process simulation software and analytical tools for process modeling and optimisation.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Conduct safety audits and risk assessments, implementing necessary changes.
- Manage compliance with industry standards (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001).
- Lead and manage process improvement projects from conception to implementation.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
- Develop and enforce quality control standards and procedures.
- Supervise process engineers and production staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.

Experience: |
|
- Minimum of 8 years of working experience as a Production Manager or Chemical Engineer, with at least 5 years of experience in the petrochemical, chemical, or manufacturing industries.
- Significant experience in managing compliance with ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and SS651 standards.
- Proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen Plus® and Aspen HYSYS®.
- Experience with Safety Case Regimes, including Ministry of Health (MOH) and Malaysia equivalents.
- Proven track record in managing a team of at least 10 members, including operations managers and facilities managers.

- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry is mandatory (specialisation in Petrochemical Engineering is preferred).
- Certification in ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and SS651 is required.

Skills and Competencies: |

- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles, codes (ASME, API, TEMA), and standards (local – Singapore And Malaysia Standard Code of Practice, and International).
- Knowledge of Distributed Control Systems (DCS), particularly in logic and sequence modification.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency in process simulation software such as Aspen Plus® and Aspen HYSYS®.

- Regularly conduct safety audits and risk assessments to maintain a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.
- Ensure operations meet relevant standards such as ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, and SS651.
- Develop and uphold quality control procedures, addressing any quality issues swiftly and effectively.
- Provide leadership and guidance to operators, technicians, and supervisors, fostering a collaborative work environment.

- Practical understanding of industrial/manufacturing principles, standards, methods, and practices.
- Knowledge of disciplined problem-solving methods.

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commodities-based industries, especially chemicals and industrial gases, to drive growth.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to expand market presence and increase revenue.
- Manage the entire sales process, from lead generation and qualification to proposal development, negotiation, and closing deals.
- Respond effectively to RFPs and RFQs, ensuring competitive and compelling submissions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships across the JAPAC region, fostering long-term partnerships.
- Understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that meet their business objectives.
- Act as a trusted advisor and main point of contact for key accounts, ensuring client satisfaction.
- Utilise CRM tools to track sales activities, manage pipelines, and report on sales performance.
- Establish and optimise the sales funnel to ensure efficient and effective sales processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and the competitive landscape, and collaborate with internal teams to support business growth initiative.

- Minimum of 5 years of B2B sales experience in commodities-based industries; chemicals or industrial gasses preferred.
- Proven track record in achieving significant sales targets and managing cumulative deal sizes exceeding USD 3 million.
- Experience working with clients in the JAPAC region and understanding of regional market dynamics.
- Familiarity with GTM strategies and hands-on experience with RFPs and RFQs.
